Some tips to build your college application: Keep a scrap book of all your accomplishments, make a list of the tournaments you participate in, keep a handicap, get letters of recommendation from people you know in the golf world (i.e. Golf coach, golf instructor, golf professional, superintendent,  club manager, et cetera), get some caddy experience, and get golf work experience.

If you are interested into getting into the golf business some colleges have Professional Golf Management (PGM) programs. I attended both New Mexico State and Methodist College in North Carolina. They were drastically different. Do your homework and research the program that fits you.
